There is perhaps, no creature more globally shared by the peoples of the world than sea turtles, we need to learn from them. Ahppa visit the shelter in Hermosa Beach and monitor the hatchery, as well as other nests left on the beach, & safeguard the hatchlings on their first journey to the ocean.

In the future, we plan to extend our support to this shelter in Jaco, Hermosa starting with our Outreach program next january for stray dogs and cats but there is someone else …the poachers come onto the beach at night and take the turtles and their eggs to sell on the black market for profit.

We need to act Now…

AHPPA Laura Villegas and her crew with Frankie our spoke dog for Animal Rights went to Jaco, Hermosa to present this history to us.

Hello everyone,

First of all I want to thank you for attending our silent auction last Thursday evening. We are still in the process of getting some prizes to thier rightful owners and once we do we will have a final tally of the results. For your information, all proceeds will go to funding the AHPPA Outreach Program, in which our own veterinarians treat and sterilize dogs and cats in the poorer areas of Costa Rica. This program has been in full force for a year now and our vets go out at least once a week and have already made some steady progress in Tortuguero, Guanacaste, etc…not to mention a name for themselves in these areas!

There were quite a few really great items that went unclaimed at the silent auction and therefore we are putting them up on the internet for a 2nd perusal – you will want to check them out because there are some very nice items and certificates!

Making one last effort to find my dog, see attached, weights about 35 kilos or about 80 pounds, originally lost in the Ciudad Colon area, but could be anywhere in

the country at this point, missing for a month now. Please forward this if you would to everyone in your address book.

Reward paid to the third parties also who send this e-mail. He is neutered, and last had on a narrow black designer sort of collar on.

He does not bark much at all, and knows the commands in English to sit, stay, and lay down pretty well. I would call him more of a creme color than yellow.

He is about 2 years old. But if some one stole him and has him confined as a guard dog, he may be frustrated at this point to be more of a barker.

Hoy 05 de cotubre nuestra veterinaria en jefe Laura Villegas, acompañada de un veterinario voluntario Esteban U. visitaron a una familia de Los Cuadros, gracias al patrocinio de varios amigos y amigas de los animales que siguen nuestro trabajo en Facebook que donaron las castraciones.

Todos los animales tenian sarna, se les dejo el tratamiento para todos, desparacitacion y tratamiento para garrapatas inyectado, esto fue cubierto por AHPPA,y la gasolina del viaje.

El total de animales era de 20 , sin embargo una de ellas Manchita ya estaba castrada y su foto no esta en esta publicacion, los cuatro cachorros se llevaron al refugio para ser tratados con mas cuidados por su corta edad y su estado avanzado sarnoso. Encontramos 2 cachorros de mas en las calles que tambien estan en el refugio para ser adoptados.

Esta familia con sus limitantes a cuidado a estos animales, cabe recalcar que ninguno estaba desnutrido ni maltratado, el cariño de Doña Ana y su hija es total y parejo para todos.

Ellas desean dar en adopcion a Tarzan y Bandera ya fueron rescatados de una casa cercana donde los abusaban y temen que se los lleguen a quitar, esta zona es peligrosa y ellas temen que les envenenen a los otros por venganza. Tambien desean dar otros mas en adopcion ya que no pueden con tantos.
